Business Telephone Services in South Florida

Most businesses spend too much on their business telephone services. Our team can help you identify ways to improve your service and cut costs in South Florida.

The constant push towards online communications can sometimes make it seem like everything can be done through email or text – but as a business, you know that the telephone is often still the most effective tool you have to communicate with clients, customers, employees and other stakeholders. Unfortunately, business telephone systems have become increasingly complicated in recent years. Everyone is moving to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). This technology can be extremely beneficial for your business but can also be quite overwhelming if you are new to it.

At BoomTech, we work with our clients to help them adopt and maintain the ideal business telephone system for their needs. We can help you understand VoIP and what it can offer you. We can also make sure you get the right VoIP system – because not all of them are created equal.

Help with Your Business Telephone Services

Many of our clients have questions about VoIP, including:

What is VoIP?

It is a relatively new technology that utilizes hardware and software to make phone calls over the internet. Instead of using the traditional phone line transmission, you use the internet to transmit voice data back and forth with whoever you are calling.

Why would a business want to change to VoIP?

There are multiple reasons why you might want to switch your business over to VoIP, including:

  • Cost savings. In most cases, a VoIP system will be less expensive than a traditional phone system – often significantly less costly. You don’t have to worry about long-distance fees on phone calls because they are happening over the internet.
  • Scalability. A VoIP service can be expanded considerably without a lot of effort or expense. If you run a call center, for example, you can quickly increase the number of phones you have in your center through VoIP

Why wouldn’t a business want to change to VoIP?

VoIP is generally an excellent option for business phone systems, but there are some exceptions. Because VoIP works over the internet, you can only make phone calls if you have internet service. If your internet service goes out for some reason, you lose the ability to make phone calls. You can also run into problems if you have a power outage. While VoIP systems have battery backups in most cases, those batteries can run out.

If your business needs phone service at all costs – such as if you provide essential emergency services – the VoIP may not be right for you.

How can I determine if VoIP is right for my business?

By talking to us at BoomTech. We are VoIP experts and can quickly help you determine if it is right for your business. We also know how to help you avoid some of the common pitfalls of choosing a VoIP solution for your business. Too many companies fail to realize that some VoIP solutions are much more business appropriate than others. We will make sure you get the solution you need – not the one a salesperson tries to unload on you.

There can also be individual hidden costs with VoIP that we will help you understand and ideally avoid.
